What are your feelings towards smoking? What rights do you think smokers and non-smokers should have?

Smoking is a selfish and disgusting habit. Obviously I really don't like smoking. It's ridiculous that people continue to do it when they know that the end result will lead to health problems further down the road. Yes I'm an overweight person and that can have long term effects on my life, but my issues don't affect others. Smoking can kill others around you and it makes you stink to high heaven. As for rights, well I think smokers should be able to smoke outside and in their private residences, but I don't believe they should be able to smoke in public places. I don't smoke, I don't want to die from second hand, idiot smoke.

Okay...um...right...what?

I'm all about protecting and treating animals well. I believe that animal abusers should be strung up and beaten with a fiery stick. (What, what violent streak?) I've had pets my entire life and trust me when I say, my pets are sometimes treated better than the humans in this house. With all that said, this article about PETA wanting the Universary of GA to replace a real dog with a robotic dog is freaking asinine even by PETA's standards.

Here is the article: PETA says what?

Now this is ridiculous on so many levels. One being the fact that the dogs and other animals used as mascots for college teams are treated like ROYALITY! They are taken care of, fed and given love. I'm so sorry to hear about Uga VII's death. I just saw him not too long ago in the Georgia/Florida game. But I don't think saying his death is a reason to stop using animals on the sidelines is smart. And saying that it's because of the breed (English Bulldog) is also laughable. My dog, Rainbow, is an English Bull- true she's a mutt, but...she's never had any issues. But even if the breed had any bearing on anything, name one type of animal (and human) that doesn't have an issue or the possibility of having an issue. I can't believe this is even being addressed. PETA has official LOST it's mind. Go back to chasing the right devils and leave college football alone. The animals are loved and enjoy being treated like kings...or queens...

So here it is, the end of the season and for some the end of their college careers. I can't believe that it's almost over. *frowns* Texas won their game yesterday. Alabama is playing Auburn tonight. Gators play FSU tomorrow. This is our last in season game. But more than that it's Tim Tebow, Riley Cooper, Brandon Spikes, Brandon James, etc's last home game ever. It's the last time I'll watch them in the Swamp... I might get extra emotional over this game this week... I mean I always freak out while watching but this week it'll be even more extreme.

Here is some videos. Coach Meyer and Tim Tebow talk about the end of an era...

Emotional and brilliant...CM- 100 )

All and all, the entire episode was brilliant. It was everything what a 100th episode should be. It showed me once again why I'm addicted to this show.

My rating- A+++

If you don't watch this show...why not?

What is your favorite holiday and why?

I actually have a few favorite holidays for different reasons. I love Halloween because it's fun and freeing. It's always interesting to see people come to parties as what they aren't in normal everyday life. Halloween gives everyone the chance to let loose without being seen as psycho. *laughing* I love Christmas because it's a time of family. I love the amount of goodness that comes out of people during the Christmas season. With so much evil in the world, it's nice to find goodness. Another one is Easter. Easter is another family holiday filled with joy and hope. It's a time that my family comes together and just enjoys being together.

Can I just say three things-

1) Matthew is adorkable- "Now I look like a woman."
2) They called Hotch- Aaron Hotner. *laughing* Well at least they got it right
3) EEEEE!!! I can't wait for tonight. Haley's back, Jack's back and Hotch is all hotner. *happy dance*

Have you seen New Moon? If so, how do you think it compared to the book? Was it better or worse than Twilight? Please, no spoilers!

Yes I went to see New Moon today with three friends. The book was MUCH better. I actually loved "New Moon" (book) although I still thought Bella was a bratty, selfish witch at times. To me, New Moon was worse than Twilight. ...And I laughed during some of the cheese that was Twilight.

What is your proudest life accomplishment so far and why?

I think my proudest accomplishment is that I'm still friends with people I've known since I was five. It's nothing world changing but it means something to me. :)

Florida Gators
My Gators played last night and won. It was a ten point game and we controlled them for the last half of it - intercepting two throws and returning one for a touchdown. The team is undefeated. It has a 20-0 winning record (that starts from the horrible loss to Ole Miss in the beginning of last year). It's the longest record currently held by a college football team. The Gators have clinched a spot in the SEC Championship game and have been number one all year long. The Gators' defense is one of the best in the nation. Holding the competition to just two touchdowns or under most of the year.

Thank you to all the men and women that have and/or still serving to protect this great nation. Thank you to all the ones that have given their lives so bravely so that my freedom is protected. Too many times we forget that if it wasn't for those few brave, incredible souls we wouldn't be able to live, work, gripe and laugh without worry. So from the bottom of my heart, I say thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You truly are America's heroes.

I am more grateful to you than you could ever know.

Deep thinking and Jailynn being needy coming your way... skip if you want...

You are about to enter the Twilight Zone... )

=-=-=-=

Now I'll drop the deep thinking and get into general blah...

1) Did anyone see what that female college soccer player from New Mexico did on the field? Good Grace, she should be in a Boxing or Wrestling ring. The girl tripped other players, yanked another girls hair so hard she was flung to the ground, punched some players... It was NASTY! I've heard she was suspended for the rest of the season. She deserved that punishment.

2) My heart and prayers go out to all that were hurt, killed and/or affected by the shootings in Fort Hood and in Orlando. Senseless violence. What is the world coming to?

3) Brandon Spikes is out for tomorrow's game. People are still talking about what he did as if he held a gun on the other kid. It was wrong. He has apologized, been punished and knows that his actions were unbecoming. Is it really necessary to beat a dead and rotting horse? I really hope and believe he knows that he is better than that and will never do it again. It's time to turn the page and write a new chapter. (I'm looking at you ESPN!)

4) Urban Meyer has been fined 30,000 dollars for questioning some calls that were made by officials... Because he questioned the officials in a press conference. Um, what? *rolls eyes* Stupid rule. The great thing about America is that we have FREEDOM OF SPEECH! It wasn't even like what he said was untrue or especially rude. Sometimes people just really need to be stamped with a "I'm stupid" sign.

5) I changed my background, but I don't know if it will stay this way or not. I also changed my mood theme. It's "A Walk To Remember". One of the only books/movies that I've read that's main female character is named Jamie. I cry everytime I watch or read this story. So beautiful. Of course Nicholas Sparks makes me cry period. (I'm still hurting over the end of "The Guardian" *glares at Nicholas Sparks* How could you!!!)

I think that's all. *grin*

Another day of work...

Daylight savings time kicked my butt yesterday. I woke up too early and then crashed. *laughing* I didn't even realize I was asleep until my phone rang at my head and I looked at the clock. This was like at 9:30 at night...I had already been asleep for an hour and a half. *shakes head* At least I slept well. *laughing*

My temp job is coming to a close. I have about two more weeks to go and then I'm heading back up to Baker. I'm so happy about that. I miss my dog, my friends and it's much cooler up there. So I also miss not sweating like a pig on the spit.

Pray that I have a great last two weeks for me.

=-=-=-=

This morning I read that Brandon Spikes has been suspended from playing next week because of letting his emotions get the best of him. He made a really stupid move that could have cost him more than just a game or half a game or whatever is about to happen to him. Saturday's game was intense. There were a lot of "personal fouls" called because Georgia and Florida DO NOT GET ALONG. I know Urban Meyer has suspended Spikes for at least half a game but the officials are looking into it, so it could be more. I also know that Urban is going to get a lot of flack for not doing more, but the play was never called- the opponent wasn't injured or even touched and never complained and Urban could have done nothing. But he didn't. The Coach took action. So we'll have to see were the chips fall. Like I said there was a lot of emotion in Saturday's game. A couple times it looked like a giant fight was going to break out on the field. A couple late hits were made against players (including one roughing the passer hit against Tim Tebow that wasn't called). I'm disappointed in Brandon's actions, but because I saw how vicious the Bulldogs were I can't say I'm surprised that retalition was taken.

I hope everything gets sorted out. As much as I love seeing the Gators win and play hard, I don't like seeing guys ruin their careers over a single game. It's not worth it.

=-=-=-=-=

It's November (where has the year gone?!) and it's time for me to change my LJ. I should have a new background and mood theme up by this weekend

Friday Night Lights started last week. It's amazing. Everytime I watch that show, I'm hit again with how truly incredible it is. The writing is bar-none the best on television. The acting is real. The characters are well-rounded and realistic. There is humor and heartbreak. Watching it makes all the other shows I watch (with the exception of Criminal Minds) seem so childish to me. I really wish the rating were better for it, because it there is any show on TV that deserves monster ratings it's Friday Night Lights.

I hope everyone has a fantastic week. *grin*

While on a recruiting trip, Brandon Spikes met Tim Tebow. Afterward, Brandon said, "I'm going wherever he is."

And Gator Nation has been thrilled by that decision ever since. Here is a mini picspam of two of my favorite Gators players...

It's time for the Florida/Georgia Game. GO GATORS!!!

Come On Tim Tebow! You are the man, show the world that. Gators Offensive Line protect him. *bites nails*

ETA: It's Halftime...well it's almost over and the game is 24 - 10 Florida ahead.

Tim Tebow broke the SEC rushing TD record. He now has 50. Congrats, Tim! You are an amazing football player. Gators keep up the great work!

ETA 2: We won!!! 41 - 17 Florida. Tim ended up getting another rushing TD so his total is 51!

Great game Florida. It was amazing and it was great to see such a complete win!

Happy Halloween!

Notre Dame- wins!

Ole Miss- wins!

My friends Ohio- wins!

Florida Gators--- WINS! 29-19 and we go 7 and 0. Tim Tebow ran for one touchdown (tying for the most touchdowns run by a QB in the SEC) and threw for another. We had more field goals than I liked, but I can't complain about a ten point win. *grin*

All and all I'm a very happy Florida Gator freak. Thank you, God! *grin*

If your team played, I hope you won!

Just got back from the book store and have such a huge smile on my face. Isn't it crazy how something so simple can make you so happy? The only bad part to going to the happiest place on earth is that I always spend way too much money there. Which is why I have to limit the number of trips I make. *grin*

Usually I feed my book addiction, today I fed my Florida Gators addiction. *laughing* They have a book that chronicles the history of Gator Football and I've been looking at it for months. I had it on my Christmas wish list, but today I got impatient and bought it for myself. *laughing* It's expensive, heavy and BEAUTIFUL! I love it. Tonight I think I'll sleep with it under my pillow, so I can have wonderful Tim Tebow Gator dreams... *innocent grin*

In other news, I got my new glasses today. I CAN SEE! It's wonderful!

I've finished two more books in the Sookie Series. I just started book seven Friday. Can I just say...HOLY CRAP! I wasn't expecting that twist in the Sookie/Bill relationship. I'm trying to be concious of what I say in case someone wants to read it, but damn! I had already written him off because of his previous actions so it didn't hurt my opinion of him too much, but it still shocked me a little. I still love Eric. I adore worship the ground he walks on Jason. Actually that was another cool twist. I love that Sookie and Jason have special blood. Man it's hard to be coy. *sigh* I'll have to do another post about all this soon and expand on my thoughts.

The bottom line is I'm still really into these books, even though I don't have as much time as I would like to read them. I'm really hoping to be done with book seven by next week. *grin*

What is with all the morbid questions on the writer's block feature? We had the bucket question a couple of days ago that I answered and today there is another "if you only have a day to live" question. Is death that heavy on people's minds?

Loved the Big Bang Theory Monday. *grin* Wil Wheaton playing himself, but an evil version of himself was epic. I loved him getting the best of Sheldon because while I can handle Sheldon in small doses, he isn't my favorite at all. Everytime he fails, I smile. *grin* I also loved the double date. Penny and Leonard are so adorable together and Howard bonding with his date over mutual dislike of their overprotective mothers was great. His date went from epic failure to major win in ten seconds flat. *laughing*
=-=-=
I've been watching ATWT. I hate that they are killing Brad. I think it's a mistake. I think that the same IICs that fired John Driscoll and killed Coop off of GL are now working at ATWT. It's foolish to kill off such a popular character. I'm also sick of GH right now. The show is epically boring. As for the return of Jonathon Jackson- I'm on the fence. I think the show was crappy for all the underhanded dealings. I think Greg V. deserved better, but I love JJ's acting. The other thing that is holding me back is the writing. GH is very inconsistent. Some weeks are great, some suck in a major way.

Here is the preview for my Hotch video... I'm not done at all, still have over half the song to finish and some of this may change, but I wanted to see how the quality looked and I thought I would share it with you.
